In our quest for innovative talent, Artaissance is always seeking artistic creativity and originality. New art, whether sourced from an established professional or emerging artist, keeps us young. It also keeps you and consumers coming back. Of most importance is your fresh point of view or angle.
We value your interest in our services and look forward to reviewing your art. Below you will find answers to some of the more frequently asked questions. Please read them and then submit using the form below.
Q & A
- What type of artwork do you consider publishing?
- To get a feel for whether your art may be appropriate for our collection, browse the images on this site that we currently publish. Overall, we like sophisticated imagery. Most of our images bridge the decorative and fine art ranges.
- Do you want to see a representation of my work, or just pieces that are available for publishing?
- We would most like to see art that is available for publishing; however, should you have samples of work that uniquely convey a certain look or feel and represent potential commercial value, we would be interested in reviewing this as well. If a graphic look you create could represent a significant addition to our collection, we will discuss with you the development of new pieces that incorporate this contribution, and thus create new works for publishing.
- How much of my work should I submit?
- Submit a minimum of 5 and no more than 10 images. Include the title, date, medium and contact information,(including email, best daytime telephone number and URL, if available.)
- Should I send along my profile, statement of work or bio?
- Please include an artist bio of 2000 characters or less, double-spaced. Include your contact information (email, best daytime telephone number and URL, if available.)
- Do you ever commission artwork?
- Sometimes we do commission new work, especially if we see art that moves us. We will let you know if this is the case.
- How do I send artwork? CDs? Color copies or prints? Website? Original art?
- Artwork may be submitted in the following formats:
» non-returnable CD with JPG images and thumbnail print-outs (preferred)
» artist’s web address
» email with attached JPG files to submissions@artaissance.com
» high-quality color copies
Please do not send original art. Materials will not be returned! All pieces should be properly labeled.
- To whom and to what address do I send samples of my work?
- Send artwork submittals any one of three ways:
1. Through the mail or via a courier to:
Larson-Juhl US, LLC,
Artaissance Art Committee
3900 Steve Reynolds Blvd.
Norcross, Georgia 30093
2. Via email: submissions@artaissance.com.
3. Through our website.
Note: You must first complete the online artist submission form.
Regardless of your submission medium, be sure to include your bio and the artist submission form. For USPS or courier deliveries, you may print the completed submission form and include it with your materials.
Note: We do not accept walk-in submissions.
- How often do you publish artwork? When should I send pieces to be considered?
- We publish throughout the year in small collections and the publication dates are usually established quarterly. Therefore, you may send CD’s at any time.
- What kind of artwork are you looking for?
- To get a feel for whether your art may be appropriate for our collection, browse the images on this site that we currently publish. Overall, we like sophisticated imagery. Most of our images bridge the decorative and fine art ranges.
- Is the original artwork insured while it’s in your possession?
- While your materials are in our possession, we will make every possible effort to see that it is protected and (for those returnable items) returned to you in the condition in which we received them. However, we cannot be responsible for the artwork in the event that it is lost, stolen or damaged. For this reason, we request that you send us only duplicate CD or color copies in order to protect against any such issues.
- Am I required to sign a contract? What if I have artwork already published by someone else?
- If we wish to publish an image, we will contact you to begin a dialogue about the terms of our agreement. We require that each artist sign a contract if s/he wishes to publish artwork with Artaissance. In accordance with that, we generally do not publish work by an artist currently under contract with another publisher. However, there are exceptions; please contact us privately with specific questions you may have.
- How long does the art review process take?
- Our Art Committee reviews all submitted work. The committee meets on a regular basis to select images to be published. All submissions are responded to in writing within approximately 6 weeks from the receipt of your materials.
